ARE YOU NEARING RETIREMENT?

For those members who are lucky enough to have their company pay their annual membership dues, some simple planning prior to retirement will enable you to secure lifetime (national and chapter) membership at a significant savings.  How?  By simply coordinating the company paid dues payment in the year you take retirement along with a traditional payment of twice the then current Society dues, a combined one time payment of 300 percent of the then current Society dues, provided that the applicant has been a regular member for 10 consecutive years prior to application for lifetime status, is all that is required to qualify....You now have achieved lifetime membership status in a prestigious national professional organization with all the benefits and privileges that go along with it, and have managed to save a few dollars towards your retirement in the process.  It's that easy!

REPORTING HOME AND WORK CHANGES

Have you changed jobs in the last few years? Gotten a new work or home phone number? Moved from one address to another? If so, your CPCU Society records may not be correct. It’s easy to check your records and to report any changes.

If you know you need to make a change, just click on the "Address Change" to the left of the WELCOME heading above. There you will find a form you can fill out and mail to the Society.

To check to see what phone numbers and addresses the Society has for you, call 800-932-2728. A recording gives you the option to enter your party’s extension number of press pound to use the company directory. Wait just a few seconds, and the recording tells you to "Press 1" to reach a membership services representative. Once you press 1, you will most likely hear a recorded voice saying all representatives are on their phones.

Don’t be discouraged. Every time I left a message someone called me back within twenty-four hours. Even better, the people who call back are pleasant and helpful. They access information on their computers immediately and change it within moments. It’s quick, convenient, and helps the membership committee keep track of its members. Give it a try!

MIX and MINGLE SOCIAL HELD April 26, 2000

The Membership Committee successfully planed and held a Mix and Mingle social on April 26, 2000 at the Dock Street Brassiere in Philadelphia. The event was held after work hours and was done jointly with the Philadelphia Casualty Underwriters Club.  All Chapter members and their spouses were invited free and the Chapter picked up the expense for the appetizers.  This was an opportunity for our members to socialize and also get to meet their Chapter officers and New Designees, as well as Society staff who also attended.  Check out the photos and story at the Mix & Mingle page of the Socials section or click heremix&.htm
