THE GOOD WORKS PAGE
Over the years the Chapter has been involved in many worthwhile projects and
continually seeks ways to help others who may not be able to help themselves. If you
know of a worthy cause, or would like to organize a project, please contact Cynthia Gantz,
CPCU c/o Swett & Crawford 215-572-4904, or e-mail her at Cynthia_gantz@swett.com or contact any of
the Chapter Officers or Directors.

SATURDAY MAY 5, 2001 is our next scheduled SPECIAL OLYMPICS AT Northeast High
School in PHILADELPHIA, 9 a.m.- noon.

May 6, 2000 was our last Special Olympics Good Works Project. Click side
bar for flyer, further info & volunteer response form and/or call Cynthia
Gantz at 215-572-4904 if you are available to participate. Meanwhile, enjoy the photos
shown below of the May 2000 Olympics and past Good Works and click on the thumbnail for

Since 1992 the Philadelphia Chapter participated in the
Philadelphia Special Olympics held on the first Saturday in May of each year at Northeast
High School. Cynthia Gantz, CPCU, from Swett Insurance, along with her husband Gary,
are very involved with this worthy event. Generally, you arrive around 9:00-9:30
a.m. and stay until about 12:00 noon. Volunteers are served a box lunch and given a
souvenir T-shirt. Chapter members who volunteer get a Philadelphia Chapter hat to wear and
a Special Olympics T-shirt. With our hats and T-shirts on, our job is to cheer for
the participants, congratulate them after their respective events and present the winners
with awards and medals. It's extremely rewarding to be a part of the Special Olympics. Why
not mark your calendar for the first Saturday in each May from 9-12 to join the Chapter in
volunteering at the "Philadelphia Special Olympics". A form is accessed on
the sidebar. Enjoy the photos below taken at past events and click on the thumbnail
for the larger version.
